Privacy

Big Brother I believe is within our government but not to the extent of 1984. Our population is not one to just look at the surface of things but there is always that one person digging deeper to find all the facts and possibilities.I believe that yes we have lost some of our privacy but in order to heighten our security. We still have a lot of privacy concerning to the privacy of our thoughts, what we do in our own home and more. However most of the things that are public is because we choose to make it public. I think most people would not give up their basic freedoms to be safe. People will always want some privacy and they deserve it. I never see our country ever even being close to the way that 1984's society is set up. No one can tell us that one day 2+2=4 and the next 2+2=5 we are people of questions, doubts, and thoughts and always will be

My Top Feeds

Jershey Shore is a must see every Thursday. Every week me and my roommates sit down and watch it (its a ritual). Now not everyone may like the Jershey Shore but I really find it just funny and entertaining. If i had a feed it would definitely alert me when the next episode was on and play me the preview.
I have been skiing since sixth grade and it is such a fun winter sport to do. Although I'm not sure if Titus's world would even be able to have a ski mountain due to their environment. Skiing resorts, skis, boots, and apparel would constantly be popping up on my feed. It may acutally help me though when it cam to finding mountains in the area to go skiing on and compare best prices. I just hope it doesn't advertise that on piece purple snowsuit (in the picture).
I am a chocoholic which to me is not a problem. Chocolate is just something I love and especially anything Hershey makes. My feed would always be advertising Hershey's chocolates to me because I eat them at least twice a week. Since the feed advertises on your interests I'm sure the feed would have Kit Kats and Twix shown to me .

Puma would be something that would be on my feed because I love puma. I always love their sneakers and workout clothes so if there is ever a sale I'm there. Puma is already a big well-known company so it would not be a surprise if  they would not have talking tattoos like Nike in a feed world. My feed would constantly be giving me deals and showing me new sneakers that Puma released, which would make me broke.

In a House in the Middle of Nowhere

When thinking about if i could live in a house secluded for a year without anything I instantly said no. However, I then sat back and thought about what I was giving up and if I really wanted to if I could. Honestly, I feel like if I had to give up the technology and possessions I would but if I had to choose then no I wouldn't. I have become accustomed to all the things that I possess and feel that I do not need to give them up to learn more about myself. Now that sentence may sound a bit snooty I know, but I can survive without these things. At my home I had one television until this year, I did not have cable until 8th grade (getting 1-2 channels during the summer), I do not get cell reception, and did not have wireless until last year. In my opinion I have had my fair share of not having the technology 24/7 that I know other people have had, and I survived! In my opinion if I did choose to live in a house in the middle of nowhere I would miss not my technology but someone to talk to and have fun with. I need more than anything the people I love and being unable to have that part of me would kill me. I do not believe I would learn more about myself because I believe that you learn more about yourself in life itself interacting with people around you, or even just being around people. If I took myself away from all of this what would I learn?

Proud Member of the Dumbest Generation

When I read the articles pertaining to Mark Bauerlein's book The Dumbest Generation I was honestly angry. I do not think it is fair that a man can judge anyone below the age of thirty. Yes, I realize we do say things like "my brother is only eight and already has a cell phone", but we never comment about their intelligence. I believe that our world is ging into a different direction one that Bauerlein cannot really comprehend. Our generation no longer has to fret over knowing which years Nixon was in office, we can Google it. Instead we can spend our time more wisely educating ourselves on what we are most passionate about and not the little things that really do not weigh on whether we are dumb or not. Honestly, I believe that our generation is quite intelligent. It may be a different intelligence then what was before but there has been many good things that have happened and many good things to come from us.
